BANANA SPLIT PIE
Banana Split-paj

Surprise with a fantastic dessert – how about a pie filled with ice cream, bananas, cream and chocolate? Sounds like a dream, huh? :-D

1 pie, 6 servings

Pie dough:
Good ¾ cup flour
2 tbsps sugar
3½ oz butter or margarine

Filling:
2 cups vanilla ice cream
3 bananas, sliced
2/3 cup whipped cream
chocolate sauce
3 tbsps roasted coconut flakes

 
Chop together flour, sugar and fat to a crumbly mixture and then quickly work to a dough. Roll it out on a floured work surface to a circle, slightly bigger than the pie pan, or press it out directly in the pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake at 175C/gasmark 4 for about 15 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool.

Fill the pie with ice cream, sliced bananas and whipped cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with flaked coconut.
